A bestselling book by Sherry Argov entitled Why Men Love Bitches: From Doormat to Dreamgirl - A Woman's Guide to Holding Her Own in a Relationship has been sending exactly the wrong message to American women at precisely the wrong time. That book, with a lie for a title, doesn't tell the truth about bitches or who men love and marry. As a public service, she should retitle it Why Men Loathe and Leave Bitches: From Doormat to Dipshit - A Feminist's Guide to Holding Him in Contempt, but she won't because her sales would tank.
Bitchology doesn't play those games. This is a tough-love relationship guide for women who think they're too bitchy or not bitchy enough to attract, get, and keep a good man. Far too many women struggle with dating and relationships these days, feeling unappreciated, unattractive, unfeminine, or even invisible at times, because they engage in groupthink about the appeal and consequences of bitchiness. They also tend to be confused about who men really want to date, love and marry, even when the truth is right before their eyes.
This book demonstrates that the choice between being a sugary sweet doormat and bitchy, man-hating feminist is a false one. You lose either way. Men with options don't love women who aren't strong enough to handle the jerks, trolls and players, but they definitely don't love bitches. They don't marry them either, at least not on purpose. They're looking for a different kind of woman - a confidently feminine one, also known as a "Keeper."
That thesis should come as encouraging news to most women, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Perfection isn't necessary or possible, but women normally can't count on getting and keeping a great man by being confident or feminine. They need an abundance of both - confidence and femininity - to crush it out there.
This book begins by examining the impact of modern, third-wave feminism and bitchiness on America's dysfunctional dating scene. It explores various subcultures of American women as case studies, highlights some conspicuous deficiencies in confidence and femininity, and suggests remedial measures. And, in the final chapter, it introduces 9 Keeper Principles for women who want to become even more confident, feminine, and capable of turning the heads and winning the hearts of America's best men.
