They drowned in the lake and died but they came back to change the lives of the living.

AMELIA: In the darkness of an autumn night, an eighteen-year-old girl of extraordinary beauty was sitting under the trees, by the lake behind her house, staring down at the still water. She had chosen this exact spot because it was hidden from the tracks used by the people. In the dark shadow of the birch trees, she was completely invisible to the world outside. She had come to this secluded place by the lake to die. She was going to jump into the icy water in a while, as soon as she gathered enough courage.

MARIA: From far away, Maria watched her friends. They looked pretty as they walked hand in hand by the serene lake. She took their pictures, unaware that within the span of few more moments, her dear friends would remain only in her pictures; they would vanish from her life forever. Everything was beautiful and there was not a hint in the air of the tragedy that was going to take place in the next few moments, changing all their lives drastically.

EMMA: The black and scary thoughts emerged from the mind of the sleeping girl, like a great surging wave. Emma’s subconscious mind was reeling in a terrifying dream. In the dream, she was running along the shore of the lake like a mad creature, looking for something. “Oh, what is it that I have to find?” screamed her tormented mind, “What do I have to find to save my two friends as they struggle in the murky green water of the lake, tumbling over each other, fighting for a breath of air?”
