Sam had spent his entire life on his parents Iowa farm. He had loved farming. He was going to marry his girl and have babies and be a farmer. Then the war came and left him with no desire to do either. Now, he found himself riding across Arkansas to keep a promise to a dying friend and brother from Texas.
