Rachel Ryan always knew that she was too pretty for her own good, but nobody knew how smart she was until it was usually too late for them. When she was on a cruise ship with the two married Barber couples who were in line to inherit part of the family real estate empire, Rachel couldn't believe the sexual trouble she soon found herself in.
Handsome Gavin McGarity was just supposed to be a hook-up vacation fling for her while her real mission had been to perform as a corporate spy for the company founder Jackson Barber himself. She was used to her beauty causing people to try to go overboard with her, but when all six of them were kidnapped in Cancun Mexico it quickly became clear that somebody was going to have to pay the price of freedom.
Suddenly the three pretty women really were too pretty for their own good. The three lovely women were forced to use what they were born with to make it from one minute to the next, and the cartel that had taken them played serious games.
When Gavin told her that he suspected it was an inside job and one of them was probably behind it all, Rachel had to decide how far she wanted to go with all of them and who she could trust. The mystery man Gavin had already proven to her that he was a hard man in so many ways. He also had a titanic sized ego and he was hard to please, and she knew that he loved smart beautiful women. He also kept proving that he was too smart for her own good, and he seemed to love bad situations that brought out the best in him.
Rachel had to hold on with him and he made her let go of herself in ways that she could barely control. The Barber family were proving that they were nothing but trouble, and the kidnappers were wanting some costly ransom payments, while what Gavin McGarity wanted from Rachel was what she wondered if she was happy to provide. Sometimes a pretty woman just had to do what she had to do.
