The Aeotec Z-Wave Plus TriSensor Multi-Sensor, Gen5 is a 3-in-1 smart sensor that wirelessly detects motion, temperature, and ambient light. As a Z-Wave Plus certified smart device, it is compatible with all major Z-Wave hubs and controllers. It also features Z-Wave S2 security to provide advanced encryption, better battery life, faster automation, and improved anti-hacking. Motion is monitored accurately within 31 feet (263 feet maximum for indoors and 328 feet for outdoors), which makes it ideal for any average-sized room or area in a home. Temperature is monitored with a built-in incremental temperature sensor that accurately measures between 14 degrees F to 122 degrees F (-10 degrees C to 50 degrees C) to provide the perfect temperature in a room. The TriSensor's temperature sensor communicates with and triggers your other Z-Wave devices (such as a Z-Wave thermostat or motorized window coverings) to optimize the room's temperature. Ambient light can be monitored due to the built-in digital light sensor, which detects ambient light levels ranging from 0 lux to 3,000 lux with plus or minus 3 percent accuracy, allowing you to program Z-Wave lights and curtains to create the perfect ambiance at any time of day.
