Metamorphis Island is an experiment in rehabilitation. Young adult girls convicted of petty crimes are given the option to serve out their sentence on the island instead of in the state prison system. Living in loving families and made to attend school, the girls are subject to corporal punishment as needed to help them develop into healthy young adults, capable of living a life free of petty crime.
