Shapes:
●Kinfe Tip (Shape-K), 5mm. The knife edge allows for point soldering on the tip, as well as soldering larger components with it's large surface area. You could also use it for drag soldering or removing excess solder and fixing solder bridges; even the ones across super small pitches.
●Conical (Shape-B), 0.5mm. Due to its round shape, the soldering can be done from any angle, you can use this particular tip in a point soldering to drag soldering, perfect for soldering small conponent such as size 0402 and size 0201.
●Chisel tip (Shape-2.4D),2.4mm. The chisel tips are widely used in general purpose soldering much like the round B series tips. The difference is that these tips offer a much larger surface area on the face and tip of the chisel than the B series tips, and so more heat is able to be transferred, arguably making most soldering applications easier.
●Chisel tip (Shape-3.2D),3.2mm. The 3.2mm chisel tips is also very popular used.
●Flat sided tip (Shape-3C),3.0mm. The C series tips are rather useful, especially in drag soldering. The slightly curved face is ideal for spreading out solder over the tip and then evenly applying small amounts of the solder over multiple components in close proximity (such as the pins on a surface mount component).
