Lil Mama From The Trenches: A Hood Romance

At seventeen-years old, Keisha Baltimore is already feeling the trials and tribulations of living in a cold world. Known on the streets as Lil Mama, she’s really just a child raising a child with no money, and more secrets than an exposed diary. She resides in the worst part of the trenches where the crime rate is higher than taxes. Every thug on the block is obsessed with her body, but her enemies would love nothing more than to see her in a body bag.

To make matters worse, she’s living in a controlling home with her mother, while trying to avoid her mother’s drug dealing boyfriend who often does unthinkable acts that leaves her feeling vulnerable and bruised. The only reason she’s not leaving is because of her disabled baby that needs her more than ever, and Lil Mama refuses to leave her behind. With no protection and no other plan to survive, Lil Mama learns to adapt to her environment and begins to take what she wants.

Lil Mama is forced to turn to a life of crime, along with her best friend Chiquita “Chi-Chi” Queens. More than anything, gaining the respect from others on the streets is a high priority. In the process, Lil Mama is thrown head first into a world of drugs, robberies and prostitution where the only options are to either eat or get eaten alive.

With the world seemingly against her and having a daughter that is depending on her every move, will she be able to find a way out, or will Lil Mama from the Trenches become just another statistic?
