A Hustler's Love Story: A Hood Love Standalone

I hail from the south side of Chicago, the low end. My story went like most little ghetto girls growing up in the hood, raising themselves. Born to a dope fiend mom and a father I’d never met, I was a pure product of the streets I grew up in. The only thing that separated me from those other little ghetto girls was the fact that I was a natural born hustler.

By sixteen, I had a plot and a plan. My focus was on securing and maintaining a bag. I wasn’t above taking what I needed to take, saying what I needed to say, or crossing who I needed to cross to stay afloat. That was my lifestyle. My way of life; even to this day.

Needless to say, when leading a lifestyle like the one I had, karma always seemed to follow. While in the midst of me suffering the greatest loss and heartbreak of my life, my world collides with a tall, dark and established hustler, Knowledge Street. Knowledge has me eager to leave my past behind me to start anew. Which is easier said than done with a past as sketchy as mine.

Will the new man in my life be able to see past the mistakes of my past and continue to love me for the woman I’m becoming or are the things of my past too questionable to leave behind?
