Evalycer's War (A novella in The Elixir Series)

Ever since she was a young girl, Evalycer has wanted to see the galaxy. After her family moves to the planet Startia and she is finally old enough to drink the Elixir (a drink that gives people certain abilities depending on genetic make-up), she gets the chance to train as a pilot while working for the (corrupt) government. She and her friend Erik join a faction that promises change, and Evalycer is hopeful things will get better.

As she and Erik grow close, the rest of her life starts to fall apart as she’s pressured to help bring down Governor Atouu. Using her Elixir ability of mind-reading, she finds out what the faction has in store for the government. As Evalycer gets more involved, she struggles between wanting change and doing the right thing.

Part of The Elixir Series, but can be read as a stand alone book.
