Description

The following is an actual account of the discovery of the black hole named V4641 Sgr. On September 15, 1999, Dr. Donald Smith of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology visually detected a dramatic optical outburst from the X-ray binary black hole star named V4641. V4641 was thought to be one of the closest black holes from Earth at only 1,600 light-years away, but it’s turned out to be much further away. Dr. Smither said, “The viewed outburst in 1999 reached a magnitude of 8.8.” The outburst was confirmed by the Kyoto University in Japan. Taichi Kato from Japan and Dr. Smith issued a joint statement, “Combining the data from all the instruments, we saw four of the most dramatic rapid X-ray intensity changes ever seen from one star. This behavior is new. We’ve never seen anything like it.” The two scientists were amazed at the magnitude of the outburst.

The data from V4641 was studied in detail for years by many different scientists. A group of scientists discovered the X-ray outburst observed in 1999 wasn’t the first from the black hole. Three supercomputers ran the data from V4641. They projected the outburst wouldn’t be the last such event from the black hole.

V4641 Sgr consists of a black hole and a “normal” companion star. The black hole was stealing hot gas from her companion. When enough gas built up in a disk around the black hole, it produced a large outburst that caused the system to shine much brighter than normal. Much of the extra energy is in the form of X-rays, so V4641 is classified as an X-ray nova. (Source; Black Hole Encyclopedia)

The Wrath of God tells the story of what might happen if a much larger spike of radiation was shot into space, a spike that was going to cross Earth’s orbit. A spike so deadly it could kill every living thing on the planet. Book one of this new series tells the story of the discovery of the wave of radiation which is speeding towards Earth. The creation of the survival plan and the government conspiracy to cover up what's coming from the population. Those that refused to keep their mouths shut had a tendency to disappear or suffer fatal accidents. Nothing can stop the Wrath of God from destroying the Earth. Only a small number, less than fifty million, can be saved the rest will be sacrificed by the world's governments. The clock is counting down to doomsday on a scale never imagined before.

Would you believe the rumors and conspiracy theories? If you did, how would you prepare for the end of the world?
