World Atlas: for Intermediate Students

The World Atlas for Intermediate Students is designed to have students gain a greater understanding of the world in which they live. It may be used as a desktop reference source or as an active teaching tool. Suggestions for use by grade level are included as well as a dictionary of geographic terms. The purpose of this atlas is to tell a story in pictures of the way people live with each other and with the earth. It uses maps, tables, and graphs to do this. As you use this atlas, keep in mind the Five Themes of Geography: Location, Place, Human-environment interaction, Movement, Regions.
