Written for non-science students, this text emphasizes the normal structure and function of the human body and the role of homeostasis, with special attention given to diseases and disorders of the body. Coverage of each organ system closes with a brief discussion of changes over the human life span. Material is also included on evolution, including human evolution and the principles of ecology.
