Modelling of Gas-Fired Furnaces and Boilers and Other Industrial Heating Processes

This text provides information on the physical and mathematical techniques used in the thermal design and development of gas-fired heating plants found in manufacturing and process industries and in commerce. The techniques described for the design of gas-fired plants for both low and high temperature process applications include boilers, water heating equipment and a wide variety of furnaces and kilns used in the metals, glass, ceramics and heavy clay industries. They are also relevant to the modelling of other fossil-fuel-fired plant and to the scale up of industrial processes.
