Mechanics of Solids

This text builds upon the background of a statics course and extends the analysis of equilibrium of rigid bodies to allow for the deformation of components. An interactive computer program is provided with the book and enables students to carry out computer-assisted problem solving, making use of methods they have mastered for small scale problems solved by hand.
