This proceedings volume contains the papers from the 4th IFAC Symposium on Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles that was held in Sapporo, Japan, in September 2001. This collection covers various aspects of intelligent autonomous vehicles such as design, planning, computational scheme, architecture, vision, recognition, modelling and control.
