The Birds of Sumatra and Kalimantan (Images of Asia)

This book, the second in a series on the avifauna of Indonesia, introduces the wide variety of birds of Sumatra and Kalimantan, whose lowland forests and coastal wetlands are particularly rich habitats. The main descriptions cover 148 species from nearly every bird family on the two islands. Information on the plumage, behavior, habitat, and distribution of the main species will enable the general naturalist to identify most of the birds of the area. References for 129 other species are included to illustrate the range and diversity of birds in each family.
