Alif Laila Vol 3 Ratan Nath Sarshar

The Urdu translation of the Arabic Alf Laila wa Laila is one of the more important works of classical Urdu prose. A number of translations were made from Arabic into Urdu of which Ratan Nath Sarshar's translation stands out for the author's ability to make the scenes and adventures come alive using a powerful descriptive language and local colour. Being the work of one of Urdu language's greatest prose stylist, Sarshar's translation of Alf Laila is considered one of the great classics of the Urdu language.
