A thoroughly revised edition of the book, Studies in Human Ecology, which had become the standard text and reference in the field. Twenty-four of the original articles have been retained, and 32 new articles (many of them written especially for this volume) have been added.Defining and surveying the ecological approach to the study of human society, this anthology is both a theoretical and an applied work and should be of value not only to scholars and students interested in developing ecological principals, but also to those concerned with applying these principles in research.
