Adobe After Effects CS6: Learn by Video

Adobe After Effects CS6: Learn by Video is a product that teaches the fundamental concepts of Adobe After Effects C6 by combining a 10-hour interactive video with a full-colour reference book. The product is the result of the joint collaboration of Video2brain and Adobe Press. The product consists of a high-definition video with lesson files, review materials and assessment quizzes. The video has been prepared by expert instructors, Angie Taylor and Todd Kopriva.

The video consists of an interface, using which the user can navigate directly to any topic and put a bookmark in certain sections for reviewing it at a later time. The video comes with a 'watch and work mode' option that can minimise the video into a small window so that the users can work simultaneously in After Effects. There are project files that have been used in the lessons, which can be used for practising the concepts learnt. The review questions in the video are interactive and help the students to recap their freshly-acquired concepts.

The first edition of Adobe After Effects CS6: Learn by Video, published by Peachpit Press in the year 2012, is available as a paperback. The DVD-ROM comes with a printed book which has materials that help in augmenting the video training.
