Procedures: Electrical Installation Series: Foundation Course

This text is designed to give students a background to the use of cables and enclosed cable systems. It looks at the cables in use and also what should be considered when selecting cables for an application. Students are given methods for carrying out the basic calculations necessary to select the correct cable ratings for the given situations. Other topics in this studybook include steel conduit, PVC conduit, trunking and cable tray. Methods of installation including fixing, mechanical protection and the installation of cables are also given.
