Biotechnology in Schools: A Handbook for Teachers

In recent years there has been a rapid growth in biotechnology and in its importance in the school curriculum. This handbook offers teachers an overview of the significance and scope of biotechnology and aims to be an introduction to the content of biotechnology and its relevance to the everyday world. It is also a guide to how biotechnology fits into the National Curriculum, within and across subject disciplines.
