Improving Reading Skills

Intended for first and intermediate-level developmental reading courses, this text is designed to improve skills required to meet college demands. The selections range from the American 6th to 12th-Grade level and have been chosen for their interest (many covering topical issues) and style. Drawn from books, magazines, and newspapers, the selections are of varying length and levels of sophistication and represent the sorts of reading students will encounter in college and their adult lives.
