From the ground up (Seeing and Thinking Mathematically in the Middle Grades)

This work covers the mathematics of architecture, as students in grades seven and eight design and build a model home, drawing floor plans, site plans, walls and roofs for their scale models. Each step allows students to explore scale, proportion, geometric representations and area measurements.
