WCDMA Performance Optimisation

The book will enable readers to decide on the most suitable 3G rollout strategy, get first-hand information about the data-rates offered to ordinary subscribers, assess how these throughput rates will influence application performance and determine optimisation strategies for a diversity of situations such as pre-launch optimisation or optimisation during normal operation. 

It is based on an extensive measurement campaign by Nokia in London with the highest number of 3G subscribers and the most advanced rollout of 3G network infrastructure anywhere in the world.  This survey has revealed many interesting findings that could not have been obtained via simulations which have a significant impact on end-user experience and are thus of interest to operators of 2G and 3G networks, equipment vendors and any other party with close interest in wireless data communication.
