Clinical Applications of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

This book is an introduction to the basic principles of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and an overview of the emerging role of clinical MRS in neurologic and oncologic imaging. The book introduces the basic science of proton and phosphorous spectroscopy; reviews the current literature on MRS; and provides an overview of the clinical application of MRS in the evaluation of lymphoma, head and neck cancers, and brain tumors, as well as Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and epilepsy.
