Radiochemicals in Biomedical Research

Modern biochemical research into understanding the processes occurring within humans, animals, and plants, owes its success to the applications of radiochemicals as tracers. This work focuses on three major areas of research: use of radiochemicals in pre-clinical drug development, protein receptor studies connected with the mode of action of drugs and hormones, and cancer studies in clinical oncology.
