This program presents an overview of the heart's electrical conduction system and resulting mechanical responses. It discusses the basics of an EKG and how to recognize normal cardiac rhythms, measurements of each normal EKG waveform are presented and three methods to calculate heart rate on a rhythm strip are explained. The seven-step method of EKG analysis is illustrated, and it presents descriptions of normal sinus rhythms.
