FORTRAN 90

FORTRAN programming is presented in the context of using the language as a tool for solving engineering or scientific problems. Students need to know which FORTRAN language features are more important/useful than others so explanations are included to give students an overview of key ideas. The presentation of FORTRAN is complemented by specific examples that show how the FORTRAN feature being discussed is used in the context of mathematical, scientific or engineering related problems (i.e. Fibonnaci sequence, factorials, Newton's Method, trigonometric functions, statistics, isotopes, polar form).
