Clifford Collection (Clifford the Big Red Dog)

Clifford Collection (Clifford the Big Red Dog) is an eponymously titled children's book series. The first book was published in 1963. Clifford is born as the runt of a litter. He is chosen as a pet by a little girl named Emily Elizabeth, for her birthday present. Nobody expects Clifford to grow, but he grows to be 25 feet tall, from all the love and attention he receives from Emily. This forces the Howard family to move out of the city to the open spaces of Birdwell Island. Here, at Birdwell Island, Clifford makes new friends, Cleo, Mac and T-Bone.

Clifford Collection includes the following titles: Clifford the Big Red Dog, Clifford At the Circus, Clifford Gets A Job, Clifford Takes A Trip, Clifford's Good Deeds and Clifford's Tricks.

In Clifford At the Circus, Emily hears that a circus is about to be closed and Clifford jumps in to help save it. He walks the tight rope, helps tame the lions and also fills in for an elephant. He then realises that the circus is not in need of saving anymore but Emily Elizabeth is.

In Clifford Gets A Job, Clifford decides to get a job and pay for the huge quantity of dog food that he needs. He finds a job as a police dog where he is not paid with money, but at the end of each week he receivers a large quantity of dog food.

In Clifford Takes A Trip, it's summer vacation and Emily's family decides to take a long trip. There arises a question of whether Clifford can go or not. The rest of the story shows how Clifford tiptoes and sniffs his way to Emily Elizabeth.

In Clifford's Good Deeds, every time Clifford tries to help someone, his plans backfire. But finally he saves two children from a burning building and also puts out the fire, becoming a hero in the process.
