Sustainable Growth: A Balanced Approach To Better Urban Planning

This book is written to provide awareness for the need of a socially, economically and environmentally balanced approach to urban development in the United States. The main proposal described is a non-uniform standard of living index titled SLICUS (Standard of Living Index for Cities in the United States). Using a standard of living index for growing cities will help the United States create more manageable and sustainable mid-size cities. The ultimate goal is to maximize the highest level of livelihood, for the most amount of residents, for the longest period of time in each respective city while still maintaining each cities' distinct feel.
