The Council of the Gods

Based on Greek mythology, this novel follows the adventures of Sofia, a child goddess adopted by the Muses, who's world is turned upside down when she finds out she is part mortal. This terrible knowledge sets her on a quest to discover her true origins. To achieve this she will have to elude the agents of Zeus and his Council--who are aghast to learn a mortal lives in their midst--and draw on an inner strength she did not know she possessed. She is not alone, however. Thalia, youngest of the Muses, a blind centaur named Erieros, and the ghost of the Greek warrior Achilles will help her in her quest. If they do not succeed a terrible fate awaits.
