Key Skills Analysis: A Resource for Analysing Job Content and Training Needs and for Selecting Training and Development Programmes

This manual provides a methodology for undertaking a key skills training needs analysis in an organization. It takes the reader through the necessary steps and offers the relevant documentation and assessment materials with information on how to use them. Part One introduces the whole area of key skills in relation to the workplace. It contains methods of identifying where key skills may be of particular importance to your particular organization. This is done by demonstrating how to undertake a job task analysis as well as suggesting ways of using existing information within the organization. Part Two contains the assessment materials for identifying individual key skills training needs with information on the approaches you should use and the context they should be used in. Part Three contains suggestions for how you can meet any training gap you have identified in your needs analysis with options for action. It also contains information about the Key Skills QCA Units.
