Hydromimicry explores the micro- and macro-scale roles of water with a focus on supporting or emulating them in our approach to resource and technology challenges. These diverse strategies focus on recognizing and working with water's natural patterns and dynamics, rather than coercing water to conform to our often restrictive mandates. The traditional management of water has overemphasized its role as a commodity and underemphasized its role in climate change, technology design, energy alternatives, and human health.
