Why are everyday people interested in the goings on of other people? Why are they interested in what goes on behind closed doors? Maybe if we read these stories, our lives won't seem to be so different. We know about Sasha's challenges and friendships. She also has sessions with a psychologist. As she watches her daughter grow and develop, she never misses the opportunity to educate Eileen on the etiquette of modern relationships with men. Sasha's personal friends admire the way she takes on her challenges. She has few fears and knows where all of her strength comes from. the end of the story Sasha meets Maurice and thiings seem to be going right, for once. She receives another shock. A surprise unfolds as she is about to leave a horse show she attended in Arizona. The story ends with Sasha waking up from a hypnotic session where she had revealed all of her experiences in the story
