It gives you an exclusive membership into a private club where all of the members can help each other by sharing their similar experiences. The outside world has no idea what it takes to survive the battles in this life-long war. Your family, friends, and doctors become the soldiers on your side and you will acquire strength from many different places. The disease will attack at the most inopportune of times and won't care who you are, how many political connections you have, or how good you have been.
