What would happen to you if America suddenly changed? How would your life change if suddenly America was attack from within and Americans went to war against one another?

Surprise tracks what happens to Bill, a successful corporate guy, when America's financial markets collapse and a revolt takes place across America. Bill is not only suddenly confronted with changed relationships but the decision on whether or not to rescue his on-again-off again girl friend in New York. That decision turns out to be one where Bill learns who he really is.
