Sun One Studio 4, Community Edition Tutorial

This book provides step-by-step instructions for building a simple J2ME(tm) application with Sun(tm) ONE Studio 4, Mobile Edition tools. The application, Converter, runs on a mobile device and converts amounts from one currency to another. Creating this application teaches the reader how to use Sun ONE Studio 4 tools to create MIDlet suites that use the Connected, Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP), as well as how to debug the application and how to use a mobile device emulator to simulate and test the application's behavior on different mobile devices.
