Bernard is a lonely man with a dead-end job and slight case of invisibility. He spends his time collecting words and engaging in petty thievery, but everything changes when a random visit to the doctor informs him that he has less than one month to live.

Scrambling to find a purpose to his existence before his clock runs out, Bernard embarks on an adventure of epic proportions. His journey intersects with Vida, a beautiful fire juggler who introduces him to a new world of vagabonds, street hustlers, and mermaids.

Every step brings Bernard closer to uncovering his hidden potential and mysterious past, while counting down his inevitable liason with Death.
