Behind the Walls (The True Story of a Teenage Prisoner of War)

Rosemary Stagner Flynn was born in Manila, Philippines. As a teenager, she and her family were captured during World War II and endured three long years in a prison camp under Japanese rule. After their heroic rescue by General MacArthur and US Army troops her family relocated to California. Some years later Rosemary married, lived in the Bay Area, raised four children and traveled extensively throughout the world. Rosemary Stagner Flynn is an award-winning painter who also enjoys tending to her garden in Sonoma, California a place she now calls home.
