A Lion Against the Wind (Volume 5)

A Lion Against the Wind (1903 - 1913) follows the journeys of lovers who have parted badly. After his first taste of the wider world and an older woman, 17-year-old Ramón returns to Los Pobres, where a new love captures his heart. Serafina marries Pablo and in Monterrey they forge contented lives, despite the social unrest simmering in little towns all across México. When Ramón's wife and son are taken by Federal soldiers, he becomes a rebel fighter intent on freeing his country from tyranny. After Pablo fails to come home to the house at the corner of Calle de Las Flores y Matamoros, and the handsome doctor Estrada returns on an urgent mission, Serafina sets out across the highlands with her two sons in search of Ramón.
