A teenage orphan was pulled off the streets of Cleveland by a university professor who saw genius. When the prodigy witnesses his mentor s murder just hours after they prove the existence of cold nuclear fusion, he is back on the street and running for his life. In order to survive, a brilliant but tormented boy has to connect their revolutionary discovery to the nation's energy crisis and the multi-billion dollar oil industry. FUSION follows the young Marcus Johnson after the murder and six years in his past, when he was forced to survive the slums of Cleveland at any cost. A dedicated homicide detective, a grizzled Texas oil baron, and a mentally handicapped street soul are among the characters that fuse together in the past and present.
