Stories from Ric Fazekas' long music industry career: 60s college radio,The Monterey Pop Festival, The Altamont Speedway, recording Sammy Hagar, Elton John's tour bus, Nina Hagen's pink hair, the first LAMC, Xtremo Fest, Brujeria parties. Having worked since the 1960s in radio, concert promotion, artist relations and studio production, in the late 1990s Ric expanded his previous Anglo focus to begin working with Latino rock and alternative acts, much of which is detailed in his new book 'The Padrino Tales.' Ric lives in Lincoln Heights CA, spends his time promoting alternativo music acts that perform in Spanish, and booking marketing research studies. Even though nearing 65, has no intentions of retiring.
