In The Secret World of Farallon, twelve-year-old Eric Doyle gets to go on the underwater adventure of a lifetime while a twin copy of him is left to fill his place on dry land, so that his absence is not questioned.

Through an enchanted invitation to play, Eric is magically transformed into an ocean child, and he swims out to sea with a real ocean child, Farallon, as his guide. Underwater, the pair embarks upon a series of thrilling adventures that challenge them, teach them about each other, and reveal the true meaning of friendship.

Meanwhile, back on the surface, Farallon has been controlling the twin’s mind, giving him a chance to experience life on land, but he isn’t having an easy time.
