Drama and Performance: An Anthology

This anthology comprises 37 plays, each accompanied by an introduction that sets the play in its social and historical context, provides background information about the author, analyzes the play's structure and language, and discusses its performance history. Twenty three of the plays are preceeded by an interview with an artist closely associated with the play, the remainder are preceeded by a review from a theatre critic.
