A Life Full of Surprises: Patterns of New Life from the Sermon on the Mount

I believe that discouraged churchmen, religious people who have not found a liberating faith, and those who have by-passed the church in a quest for an exciting, adventuresome life, can come alive to the serendipity of life as Christ meant it to be. The purpose of this book is to expose this quality of life as Christ described it in the Sermon on the Mount and as it is being lived by secular saints today. Each dimension of the message from the mount is illustrated with actual stories of people and the experience of a congregation which tried to live it out with faithfulness and obedience in an industrial and academic community, struggling with all the problems and potentials of the last third of the twentieth-century.
