What's What: A Guessing Game

Although they usually ask the questions, young children will delight in giving the answers when they encounter What's What?: A Guessing Game. This picture-book story, written by Mary Serfozo and illustrated by Keiko Narahashi, poses a simple question accompanied by a spot illustration on each right-hand page and answers with a watercolor and a rhyme on the next page. In answer to "What's hard?" Serfozo offers, "A sidewalk is hard / as a rock or a wall. / So look out where you fall!" Some questions are easy even for preschoolers, while others will make kids think--or guess. (Ages 4 to 8)
