The Games

They began as individuals who valued material possessions and popularity among life’s most important goals. They discovered greater treasures existed, that cheers for a good catch or a good hit far outweighed compliments on a new jacket or an expensive pair of shoes. Hard work was no longer shrugged off as something for the less accomplished and privileged. The games changed them, made them into something more than they were. They had more purpose because of the games.
