Am I Doing This Right?

This is not the life Quinn Kelly signed up for. She was supposed to graduate from college, get a job in a fancy Chicago art gallery, and escape the hometown she despises. Instead, she’s rooming with her parents, drinking excessive amounts of boxed wine, and spending too much time not wearing pants.

When Quinn grudgingly covers a shift at the family bar, her embarrassing behavior forces an ultimatum from her parents: get a job or move out. She finds employment at Flashy Foods, America’s premier fake-food-display company. Painting clay food is a long way from the Chicago art scene, but at least it pays the bills.

When asked, Quinn won’t admit where she works. She outright lies to friends, hoping to impress them with tales of her dream job. And all the while she continues applying for art gallery positions, hoping for a break. When that break finally comes, however, Quinn may discover the perfect life she imagines doesn’t quite match up with reality.
