University Physics: Models and Applications

This text begins with a discussion of new concepts and then explicitly describes models which extract essential features of the phenomenon. After these steps are completed, equations are derived from an analysis of the relevant model. Examples are drawn from modern technology, including computerized motion-analysis, digital voltmeters, optical fibres and compact disc players.
